Menu Plan Monday

First off, here is a picture of my weekly groceries. I almost didn't post this so you wouldn't see how much junk food we got :). Meijer had some really great deals, that, combined with my coupons were just unbeatable! I was able to take advantage of all these deals this week because I hardly cooked last week and am carrying over most of my meals over from last week. How nice to have this stash! It will really help out for breakfasts and lunches. (and the snacks will all be pretty fun for treats, too :)

5 boxes of cereal
2 - 5lb bags of sugar
3 boxes of Pop-Tarts
2 - 1/2 gallons of apple juice
2 bags of Chex Mix
1 bag of cookie mix
2 Betty Crocker Supreme brownie mixes
8 cans of diced tomatoes
1 box mac & cheese
1 gallon of milk
3 cans Grands biscuits
1 bunch of broccoli
4 Warm Delights :)
2 boxes of Fiber One granola bars
2 lbs of butter
3 lbs of apples (not pictured)
6 Pillsbury pie crusts
10 string cheeses
2 - 8oz packages of cheese
4 boxes of Pop-Secret popcorn

All for $40!!!

Monday: Chicken Pot Pie, broccoli & cheese, fresh fruit

Tuesday: Tacos

Wednesday: Curly Chicken Noodle Soup, Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Thursday: Brad's office orders in on Thursdays now through April 15th, so the girls and I will just snack around and eat leftovers

Friday: Roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls

Saturday: Grilled cheese, fresh fruit, veggies/dip
Be sure to check out Organizing Junkie for more great menus!

Wow, great shopping! Your menu looks good. That's awesome about Kate's potty training - not so great here. :) Oh well. We keep working on it!

sg,
Two things:
1. We buy our beef (1/4 cow), so we already have that on hand (I explained that when I started my budget plan - have you not been reading my blog regularly??? There will be a test on this stuff!!! ;-)
2. The chicken I had from last week, because I carried so much of my menu over (I also explained that at the beginning of this post, but I'll give you a break this once :)

It looks like you got a lot of the great deals that I got! Mike could not believe it last week when I came home with a truck full of groceries and other stuff too all for $100! I am so glad you started posting this stuff so that I can join in the fun.....

Congrats on the potty training. She sounds like she did really well! I guess it could be the Momma too though.....

One last thing, do you still butter the bottom of your pop tart so that you don't make the icing crack? Do you remember that time at Grandma's house when we were fussing about which side to put our butter on?! I am laughing just thinking about it!

No. I have not been keeping up with everything here. I only came here this morning since pleo was down. Never seen a quarter cow before. sg

Hey Micah - Glad you found us and we could reconnect through virtual world - we didn't even know you'd moved. I've been couponing too now thanks to your link to money saving mom! Adam said he always knew he loved you for some reason - now it's that you are saving us money. Do you use eversave.com for printable coupons? I'm having trouble getting them to print and wondered if you know any tricks?
