Last night I found out that one of my USED TO BE very good friends was showing very out-of-date pictures of me to his friends. I wish I could repay the favor of embarrassement, but, seeing as how no one's ugly stage was quite as bad as mine, in my search, I only found more embarrassing pictures of me than he could probably find!! Here are a couple I came across in my search. Don't ask why I'm doing this to myself. I'm still not sure...
I included the one of me when I was little so you could see that for a very short time, I really was kinda cute!
Jason, you are SO cool! If I could only be like you!! I love how you're looking like a pro to go down the black diamond at Paoli Peaks - HA!
Okay, up to now you were thinking, "Actually, the ones we saw last night were MUCH worse!" Well, you can't beat this one! In my scrapbook album, my Mom had this one titled, "On your way to Avonlea?" I made that dress and hat. I know, I know, you never would have guessed...
If only these were my worst... (sigh)

I actually love going back and looking at me when I was younger(especially my baby pictures when I was fat tub of lard). I also enjoying looking at other peoples pictures from when they were younger(especially my parents-did you know my dad wore volure, the fuzzy stuff). My mom tried to set the trends in HS, they never caught on (thankfully) otherwise "That 70's show" might be "That Amish Show". My mom wasnt that bad, but it was bad enough that when my dad first saw my mom, he thought to himself-"I will never marry her, she's ugly and her momma dresses her funny". Now, you didnt hear any of this from me, of course, Im anonymous
too bad I know who you are!!!!! Next time you're trying to be anonymous, you might not want to give so many "hints" as to who you are :).
YESSS!!! I love those pictures! Micah, you're the bomb.
hahaha, Kathryn speaks, I love it!
as for Hogan... I have no idea who that is, sorta strange isn't it?
and I wouldn't say the quote was in "response" to our conversation yesterday, it is more an addition and a joke (come on sales-resistance???)
wow. Jason's a cool guy when he skis
Come on, let's face it. Jason's a cool guy with or without skis!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Wow...blast from the past.
Micah that last picture...I laughed for a good minute. Although its not like I looked any better in high school. No matter how we looked, we still had SO much fun. I don't think I learned a bit of school (who needs to learn anything your senior year anyway) but I learned to laugh so much! Good times.....
I will say we ALL look a heck of a lot better thank the Lord!
true, true...
do you know who Hogan is?
first of all... "weirdo" not "wired-o" unless that's some new term I haven't heard of...
and the only Hogan I've ever known was a hero in the second World War (on television of course...)
Ok except did you ever notice that girls usually "improve" a whole lot better than guys? Not that guys don't improve, but they don't change as much. Probably b/c we have the hair and make-up changes.....
You're "embarassing" pictures aren't even very embarassing. My mom has pictures of me at 18 with a shaved head. Now THAT is embarassing.
Cool pictures. All my old pictures reflect how we grew up poor as church mice wearing hand-me-downs and clothes my grandmother gave us. We later found out my grandmother was a dumpster diver and thats where she got the cloths. Go figure.
I, too, know who the anonymous person is who likes to tell alligator stories.
I do not know Hogan. I think he is a random blogger who enjoys going around making fun of people. I've only known the same Hogan as you. (that isn't a very good sentence, but you get it...)
Jen- That is what is so irritating to me!! I decided I would find some revenge material last night, but Jason really hasn't changed that much!! hmmmm... maybe Jason is still in his ugly stage! hahahaha!!!!! Sorry, Jas, I couldn't help myself.
I do, however, hope that you've ditched the sunglasses...
Okay, Jen, no, you don't understand. You NEVER looked as bad as I did. Remember my "lion" hairdo?
Yeah see Jason and Jon have changed some and don't look at young, but put up pictures of you and me now and then and we look very different. Since i have had my cut very short the last few years I have run into people I haven't seen in years and they didn't even know who I was. I mean come on...I look different but not THAT different.
No I had the big bangs that could pick up
TV signals, but I think that was before I really knew you. I didn't get your volume b/c my hair is flat as pancake. AND I went through the perm stage b/c my hair was a straight as a stick and so that was my "frizz days"

how do I keep doing that....
(remember, you can either enjoy the "freedom" or trash the comment...)
Trust me on this one...you do NOT want to see.
Wow, Jen, I just really can't see you with a perm. I think you guys all need to scan some pictures in now. I've embarressed myself. Matt, let's see the bald head. You know your Dad will show it to me!
I'm a cocky son of a gun so I don't believe I ever had any funny hair or weird style... other people believe it, I don't
I am so not believing that.
awww.. :)
how about those 140 comments on your last post! haha.. cute pictures! ;)
♥♥
umm...what ugly stage???...all i see is cute pictures of this girl named michah..:)..and who is still cute!
love ya ..tonight!!!
Me and my big mouth!
I really like the last one. Got the Shirely Temple thing going. Everybody likes Shirely Temple.
Hey! I know I was hometeached, but I can still read!!!
Yes, I have changed A LOT. First, I have ditched the sunglasses. Second, I have less hair then I did. And finally, I have not lost a single ounce of my coolness.
Thanks Micah for the kind comment about me being cool all the time...
Wow, yeah, good job with the fantastic looks, Micah. We was po folk when we was young, so we nevah had no particulars and pretties ourselveses. But, time went along, and things did get at least somewhat better. I do think most of us go through our "awkward" stages, and that tends to be somewhat embarrassing, but whether the Lord has made me as fine China or just everyday wear, I'll leave that up to Him and just trust He knew what He was doing from the start.
I don't have a scanner here, but I'll see if I can't find a few old photos to share at some point. They do usually make for a few good laughs :)
Some ol' gang news....Mary Burres is engaged! She is getting married in the fall I think. Got that from Alaina.
Don't have a scanner so unless you have more pictures, you ain't going to be seeing them.
Also saw Narnia this afternoon.....loved it!! What did you think?
And what is with the "male" population that always "thinks" they are hot stuff no matter what. I wish I had the male ego.... he he

I swear.....
It MUST be the computer...
it must be...
that is really strange...
I believe you, really, the computer has it "out for you"
I've got a few pictures I might share... "might"
I loved Narnia (we saw it last night)
I love my "ego"
Jen, you can share yours when the gang gets together next week, and Jason, you can bring some of Christian's to share :o). Creth, we will all be waiting for yours.
LOVED Narnia. I thought they did an awesome job with Aslan! Wow! If he hadn't been talking, I would have thought he was real. I thought the kids did a great job with the acting. Lucy was so cute! And, I had read an article that said that they wanted to "downplay" the religious aspect as much as possible (not sure if that's true), but unfortunately for them, that was impossible. The underlying themes are just too closely connected. I thought the death march with Aslan was really... enlightening/thought provoking.
alas, I haven't any pictures that were taken of me before today. sorry :-).
Riiight, Creth. Even I have one of your younger year photos. Surely you have some to share ;)
Christian, that was a fabrication, a "what-he-would-have-looked-like-if-he-ever-were-younger" photo
Yes, and it just happened to be in your personal photo album as well? The one detailing your life from wee little baby fellow to the bulging, beastly man you are today, no less...
Christian, are you hitting on me?
(and all of those photos were fabrications, most of my life has been a cleverly planned fabrication of some sort or another)
So that's why you laugh like a crazy man! I knew it was too "good" to be true. A clever ruse, Davis. Well played.
And, no, I'm not hitting on you. I realized early in my days of pining that I would have to be at the end of a list of about 420 people in line waiting for a chance with the "big man." I just couldn't wait that long.
so you're sayin' there's a chance?
Just call me Mary. Mary Samsonite.
Oh man!!! Now there's a CLASSIC!!!!
Hey, are you guys coming to the big party at Jen's on Tuesday?
of course we're not coming to the big party at Jen's on Tuesday! WE WEREN'T INVITED!!!!
(at least, I wasn't...)
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry about that!!! What kind of friend is Jason anyway???
No, I wasn't invited either. Jason is kind of an elitist. He doesn't let us play in any Mayes games.
Ah...your baby cried in my arms--like I'm a stranger or something. I love those little chubby cheeks. They're too cute. And those pictures of you...are excellent. I have a few just like them.
Of course ya'll are invited, but I figured you were too scared to make the trek up to the wild unknown country of Indiana. Well the party is next Tuesday night at 5:30pm.
Jen, what are you doing?!?!? You know Christian is right, we are too "elite" for Creth and him.
Ouch. At least you aren't too self-conscious to post things like that. Oh, and what can you and squirt do, gang up? Two petite person gang?
I'll have you know, that if it must come to fist-a-cuffs, Christian and I are two swashbuckling fools
we
will
win
why are we fighting again?
my bet is on Micah and Kathryn
One final left to go(On Wed). All of my grades will be A's and B's (unless I really really really bombed a final). BTW, are A's and B's bad for a freshman away from home for the first time in his first semester of college. My parents were expecting a 3.5 or higher(which isnt going to happen) Yes, I talked to snowflake when I was up on Tday and she said she wanted to migrate. I am doing my best to make sure her wishes are met.
Snowflake will be quite popular when/if she comes down. Several people already want to ride with her.
I'm not sure why we're fighting, but Kathryn is sitting in her bouncy seat chanting, "We will, we will ROCK YOU."
Kathryn's first words should not be the lyrics to a Queen song...
Wow. I totally agree with you, Creth. Micah, what are you subjecting your daughter to?
I don't like it when work gets too busy...
Wow
That is amazing that she can sing that. Does she dance as she sings? We will have to check that out next week. I'm so excited to see you both! Tell Brad we are sad he won't be there. :(
Brad is in a state of depression about not being able to come. I try not to talk to him about it :o). He was thinking about it last night trying to work it out in his head, but there's just no way.
Maybe you should teach her "Baby Got Back." I hear the 'young folk' are particularly partial to that one.
That reminds me of "Friends" where Ross and Rachel sing it to their baby....I laughed so hard.....
That's exactly what I thought of, Jen :o)!! That's hilarious!
