Elmo meets his match

Olivia is one active little girl. I sure feel sorry for Elmo. He rarely ever makes it through his routine these days, and is almost always covered in slobber.

Gramma comes for a visit

What a nice little break! Kathryn was in dirt heaven! I helped Gramma make a rag throw while she and Kate cleaned out my flower bed and helped with the housework. I even got a night off of cooking! I'll trade sewing for housework any day :). When Kate got up from her nap, Gramma was gone. She was so sad. She looked everywhere, then held out her arms and said, "Where's Damma?"

Olivia LOVES to play with the phone. Any phone at all. She does particularly love this Pooh one from Nana and PawPaw, though.

The Hunt

Yesterday was quite an adventure for Kate. We drove to Gramma and Grampa's house for the annual Petty family Easter egg hunt. Kate had discovered last week that there was "tandy" in these special eggs. That was all the incentive she needed. By yesterday, she was a pro. She had to shake every egg she picked up to make sure she wasn't tricked into wasting precious basket space on an empty egg.

Thanks to Kate, we now have a basket full of candy. Thanks to her milk allergy, I have a basket full of chocolate all to myself...

Now I know why husbands and wives call each other "Dad" and "Mom"

I kinda knew, but mostly thought it was silly. Kathryn has started calling me "Hon" and "Honey". She started doing it yesterday, and I couldn't figure out what she was saying until I heard Brad call me that, and she repeated it. She has been consistently calling me that today. "Honey, more dink, pease?", "Honey, more dum (gum), pease?", (then from the top of the stairs) "HOOOON? R YOUUUU?" Even after two days I still laugh every time she says it. What a funny little girl.
